Maximising corporate IP value
Southeast Asia is a fascinating IP market that continues to grow at an unprecedented pace. Complexities abound, and rights holders need strategic knowledge to maximise their success in the region.
Against this background, IAM held IPBC Southeast Asia in Singapore in 2017 and 2018. These events have been a huge success; however, it has become clear from market feedback that we should expand beyond IPBC’s traditionally patent/technology-led agenda to provide dedicated coverage of the latest issues in brand protection, management and value creation.
We are therefore pleased to announce that the third annual IPBC Southeast Asia, hosted by IAM, will be held in conjunction with the inaugural Brand Strategy Southeast Asia, presented by World Trademark Review, on 21 February 2019 in Singapore.
Structured as a single, market-leading, one-day event, with a central registration, exhibition and networking area, the sessions will be split into two dedicated streams: IPBC Southeast Asia – IAM’s focused IP value creation agenda – and Brand Strategy Southeast Asia – World Trademark Review’s detailed brand management programme. The IPBC and Brand Strategy sessions will run concurrently, with delegates able to switch between streams to match their interests.
As the combination of two world-class programmes, IPBC Southeast Asia 2019 will attract a significantly expanded industry-led audience of senior executives from major IP owning corporates – both regional and international – as well as key figures from the research and governmental communities, for a packed day of high-level discussion, unrivalled networking and business opportunities.
Crucially, we will also continue to control attendee registrations – restricting the number of private practice and service provider attendees – to ensure that the balance of the event remains focused on the event’s core audience: IP-owning entities and operating companies.
